Mondialogo is a partnership initiated by DaimlerChrysler and UNESCO to promote understanding and exchange among young people. Mondialogo officially supports the UNESCO World Youth Festival and contributes to various festival activities. On 5 and 6 July, Mondialogo will support the “Theme Days” at schools in the Stuttgart region and the “Festival of Friends” on 7 July at the Killesberg open-air arena in Stuttgart.
Mondialogo’s website www.mondialogo.org which is accessible in five languages, provides an opportunity to engage in sustainable intercultural exchange by holding a live online forum and offering various other exciting dialogue features to the members of its worldwide community.
In addition, Mondialogo will open the doors of the Mercedes-Benz World for a free visit on 3 July 2006.
Mondialogo comprises three pillars of action: the Mondialogo School Contest for students between 14 and 18 years of age, which is the largest worldwide school contest with more than 35,000 students from 138 countries participating. The Mondialogo Engineering Award, which encourages young engineering students to form international teams and to create project proposals that address the United Nations Millennium Development Goals – focusing especially on poverty reduction and sustainable development. And the Mondialogo Internet Portal, which serves as both an information medium and dialogue platform.
