The world, represented by 2006 young people from all continents, stayed in Stuttgart from July, 2 to 10 at the UNESCO World-Youth-Festival. With this unique get-together program, the official motto of the world championship “A time to make friends” became reality and filled with life in our region in an appropriate manner.
With the regional support from numerous communities, organisations, associations, churches, institutions, companies and further partners in the Stuttgart region, the symbolic number of 2006 young people from all over the world were invited to come to the Stuttgart region during the World Cup. The participants had an unforgettable week with many highlights and a lot of beautiful experiences.
The festival supported the active transfer of nationalities, languages and cultures with the objective of making international friends. A sustainable dialogue between all participating cultures is powered by Mondialogo – Intercultural Dialogue and Exchange.
